The German King Tiger Tank was the most feared tank on the battlefield. The thick armor gave it a decisive edge in defense, and the power of the 88mm gun gave it a commanding edge in attack. The tank was not produced in great numbers and entered use towards the end of WWII. By this time in the war, the allies had achieved air superiority and many King Tigers were destroyed from the air. |
